Well, I dunno, but I do know that “take it to ATMB” does not mean that at all. It means shut up and drop it. If you do take it to ATMB, you will get penalized. Especially when Idle thoughts says something like “use ATMB to discuss issues about it”. That really means, dont ever bring it back up again.

I’m trying to run a fantasy football league. Someone accused me of a rules violation and using my power of commissioner to enable that rule violation. That’s very serious and requires resolution.

Having read that thread … Yes, Johnny Ace was being a huge jerk … but no the job of commissioner did not demand that those posts be answered. They could easily have been ignored. No other participant was asking for a ruling or anything. The game could just have continued.

And … also … people really consider that fun? Ugh.

Fantasy sports can be fun. I’ve been playing one version or another of fantasy baseball for 25+ years.

But, like D&D groups, it can devolve into bickering and complaining that ruins the fun for people. It’s best to avoid that sort of thing.

Beef, it ain’t my forum, but I’d have warned you earlier. Your behavior was clearly out of line and IT was being patient. Learn from this. You seem to be harboring some sort of belief that because you’re the guy running that league that you have some sort of special authority in that thread…some sort of pass from moderation to behave in a way that is otherwise unacceptable. This is, of course, completely and utterly wrong.

Had you believed that another poster was breaking the rules or hijacking the thread, the proper this to do is report it. Attempting to deal with it yourself has - and will continue to - lead you into trouble. I advise you to not do so in the future.
