Same here. They laid off about 10% of my office yesterday!

And in 6 days…new employment! 25% increase in pay from my old job, and I start Monday! I’m quite happy…the company appears to be very strong. A majority of their business is state and federal government projects, so the work hasn’t slowed at all during this economic dip, and it’s even continuing to pick up. Seems like a great place to work…I’m very excited!

That’s great. I had a feeling you’d find work quickly. My husband is a drafter/designer with experience in piping, and when I do job searches for him, I always see plenty of openings in the HVAC and plumbing field - for engineers, that is!
