So I want to do an online radio show...

but I want to accept callers and have it as a shoutcast. How do I set up some kind of caller system for a shoutcast? Anyone know? There’s a site, www.blogtalkradio.com that lets you broadcast on blogtalkradio and you get a telephone number people can dial into. That’s cool and all but what sucks is the fact that you, as the host, sound like you’re just a caller as well. Not only that but it’s a pain for anyone not with windows to tune in, you can’t get live listener statistics… etc. etc. Anyone have any input on this?

Doing a live show is tough, since you need a good deal of bandwidth if you have a bunch of listeners. You’d be better off doing a podcast, downloadable type episode.

It would be much cheaper and easier to set it all up and would cater to a wider array of listeners. Just an idea.
