So - is anyone else on vacation this week?

Somehow I managed to get about 12 weeks of vacation saved up that my administration office is anxious for me to use up, so I’ve taken this week off.

I’m not going anywhere, I’m not doing anything. I’m just hanging out at home, watching daytime television (ahh - I can feel my brain start to atropy already), reading books, and checking out the SDMB.

It’s always sort of trippy for me to be home during the day. I almost feel guilty.

So - is anyone else at home, on vacation (obviously being a stay at home mom doesn’t count, unless you managed to send the kiddies of somewhere), living the life of luxury? Or laziness at the very least?

It think later I may go book shopping and then perhaps try to fix my computer problem for good.

Anyone else have some good suggestions for time wasting? I have a whole week of this ahead.

I’m taking a vacation day today, as I did on Friday. Today is mainly to rest up from the previous three days. My employer’s vacation policy is use it or lose it.

I don’t think I lose mine, however the admin office is afraid that I’m going to announce that I’m taking 3 months off in a row.

While that might be fun, I’m sure I would go a bit batty after being off for even 1 month.

i’ve got today and tomorrow off. except for christmas stuff, i’m free.

i just watched “surprised by design” (two hours) and now i’m watching “dr. phil.” next up “oprah!”

i really enjoy “suprised by design.” i like the way robert and rebeccah play with others.

Humm - I think my vacation would have got off to a better start if I hadn’t just found my poor dead gecko. Not really condusive to rest and relaxation.

:frowning:

I finished the semester a month ago today, and classes don’t start until next week. Oh, and I left my job in August, so I haven’t had anything I had to do during that time. You do start going nuts after a while.

But, on the plus side, there was an ideal job in the paper yesterday and I applied for it today. And if that doesn’t work out, I’m set up to start temping next week.

I’m home until Jan. 21, when school starts again.

It’s hardly the life of luxury, though. I’m repainting most of my parents’ house and filling out multiple job applications.

I just took two weeks off to go to Europe, Germany, Vienna, and Prague to be exact. Getting leave was like pulling teeth, but it was definitely worth it.
