He’s quitting so he can focus on getting re-elected to the House.
Too bad. After seeing his wife, he’s the one politician I would believe if he said he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Dammit, that was my line when I heard the news! She’s yummy, no doubt.
He’s not my congressman - he’s one district to the west - but I think there is a perception that he’s been spending too much time gallivanting around on two quixotic presidential campaigns, and not taking care of business in his district. He’s also quite a bit more liberal than the average voter in his district. Cimperman, the city councilman who’s now challenging him (as are some others) in the Democratic primary, is pretty popular. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Kucinich might lose to him.
He’s who I would have voted for. Now it’s down to Edwards or Obama.
Too bad. I always knew Kucinich didn’t have a shot, but it made me feel better about politics in general that he was in there.
Please take Ron Paul with you too.
Maybe, but it’s a long shot. I think there’s at least one another candidate besides Cimperman, including a Cindy Sheehan type Iraq war mom who thinks Dennis HASN’T done enough to stop the war, so I think the anti-Kucinich vote will be fractured. I’ll be very surprised if Kucinich doesn’t win the Democratic nomination.
