I’m not complaining, exactly, but this thread seems to have gotten shut down pretty quickly. I’m not really sure the topic was entirely explored, because I believe that the USPS does screen and x-ray at least some domestic mail, not for dangerous sentiments, of course, but for drug, weapon, and security concerns.
And it was in GQ. Without a cite, or any discussion.
looked to me that the OP was looking for CT fodder/trolling -
I thought that was precisely the level of discussion and debate we should allow these idiotic conspiracy theorists.
That was a rude thread close.
After doing a cursory scan of his previous posts, there’s nothing to indicate to me that he’s trolling. He may be bit of an odd duck, but he doesn’t deserve that sort of rudeness.
Sure would have been nice to see a cite by czarcasm or samclem since they claim to know the definitive answer.
I thought it ran afoul of the illegal activity clause here…
How so? The OP wasn’t promoting doing anything illegal.
Samclem is not currently available to explain but he should be around later on today.
The OP could have at least provided a link to the CT site he got his idea from. That’s always fun.
Sure did.
Can you find any of his other posts that would back up this theory? He’s been here since August.
Does this make samclem the fucking hall monitor?
An interesting OP, a jerkish answer, and an utterly bullshit closing. SOP.
So, open a new one, asking substantively the same question. I CAN tell you that we don’t have any equipment that can peek inside a letter or a package, so the answer given in the linked thread is accurate.
Why would I want to open a thread that will be closed instantly? Are you the postmaster general?
Except giving a simple “No” as an answer with no further input or information is a step below the standard of what a board should give that prides itself on fighting ignorance.
Can YOU provide a cite?
That’s just what they want you to think…
What about a great big light bulb?
