Anyway, my thread is a solicitation for other examples of errors. I’ve noticed several over the last year alone, although I can’t remember the details now.
It aired here (New York) on the second. Jeopardy doesn’t show new episodes on the weekend, maybe they repeated an episode from earlier in the week?

We had a few episodes blocked on the West Coast because of the NBA playoffs, so they must have shifted them to a later date. I noticed that Saturday’s episode was a new one, which it usually isn’t.
Apparently this error has legs - in the Victorian novel No Name by Wilkie Collins it is put in the mouth of the widow of an “eminent Swiss naturalist” (so it is unlikely to be a deliberate inclusion by the author indicating ignorance on the part of the character).
