So um, this is not going well so far

What a chowderhead we have for a pres. He claims it was the largest electoral victory since Reagan. Then when a reporter brings up Obama having more, Chowderhead in Chief said he meant largest republican electoral victory. Same reporter mentions Bush 41 having more and then he mentions he was given the information. Chowderhead Cheetoh then wants the reporter to agree it was a large victory. What a maroon!

The last man nearly ruined this place,
he didn’t know what to do with it,
if you think this country’s bad off now,
just wait 'til I get through with it!

-Rufus T. Firefly, Duck Soup

Unfortunately, this is no movie, this is real.

Maybe you should start monthly threads, the way we do with sports discussions in the Game Room. Trust me, you’ll have the material.

I’m hoping for not too many more months.

That would have helped.

No, he’s worse. Rolf is portrayed as misguided and he does the right thing in the end because he loves Liesl.

Stephen Miller - sorry, but Steve Miller as a name has to be reserved for the guy who makes all those songs I dislike - is an absolute, picture perfect example of an authoritarian, racist zealot. If you want an example of a genuinely evil person, I cannot think of a more guaranteed example - worse than even Steve Bannon, albeit far less powerful. If you’ve ever thought “who in God’s name were the people who joined the Nazi Party and the SS,” well, Stephen Miller is the absolute primo example of the sort of person who would do that. If he’d been born in Stuttgart in 1918 he would have been in an Einsatzgruppen squad shooting women and children in eastern Russia.

Authoritarians are fucking scary people.

Which reel?

The last reel of this vintage motion picture, Highschool Madness. Lot Number M dash 25. Black and White. 35 millimeter…

Trump news conference: The leaks were real, but the news was fake.

WTH? :dubious:

Haven’t you heard? Drugs are cheaper than candy bars. I don’t know where he is getting his drugs, or his candy bars, but …that has never been MY experience.

You’d think being an orange businessman, he could get the Oompa Loompas to make him some candy at cost.

Yeah, that one was a head scratcher. But, most of that rambling, incoherent jumble of words was as well.

I only caught part of the speech on the radio at lunch before turning it off because he’s such an idiot, but I had a thought along those lines. I heard the part where he said we’re moving forward building the pipelines. It seems to me that people who live in the rural areas those pipelines go through are extremely, vehemently against them. I could be wrong, but I think it’s exactly those rural demographics who are Trump supporters, so I wonder what they’re making of this proclamation; if they’re pissed. They want jobs, yes. But they’re also very much NIMBY’s.

Edited to add: Oh, and since we’re now dismantling the EPA, if those pipelines should spring a leak on their property… too bad, so sad! Guess the EPA had a use after all (ignoring their larger function regulating the nuclear industry).

I just bought a candy bar the other day that weighed about an ounce. Cost me $300.

I was telling someone last night that Trump must be jonesing for some adoration about now and will probably start having rallies again. And so it is:

Campaigning is easy. Being president is hard. Poor little Trump.

Hey, people who totally agree with me about how mean and unfair the press is, take a survey saying how much you agree with me!

And he has no acquaintance with the truth - in any subject.

You owe my cats an apology. I scared them I laugh so loud.

You made me go look this up to make sure I remembered it correctly - Rolf attempted to betray them

NO! It is running like a well oiled machine! And you are just saying fake news! You can tell it is fake, because you are saying fake things, so that is why!
And Donald won most of the votes and you are just jealous of him!
