The problem isn’t that relief money was spent on tourism ads. The problem is that the relief money was spent on tourism ads that cost nearly twice the price of the lowest bidder for the contract. Also, the winning bidder’s proposal happened to feature Chris Christie while the lowest bid did not. This is significant because the ads ran during Christie’s campaign.

Who decided which bidder would get the contract? Surely not Governor Christie himself … another person pro Christie I presume.

Poor judgment in who should be in your administration has already been demonstrated or has he (meaning Christie) learned his lesson on who to trust?

Speaking on who to trust has the other shoe dropped yet?

This whole thing is just so stupid it boggles the mind. Blocking bridge lanes is no way to punish a political enemy. It’s just stupid. The way you punish the mayor of Fort Lee, is every time he comes to Trenton with hat in hand wanting some new project or whatever for his town, you tell him to pound sand. Eventually, he gets voted out of office because he can’t deliver any good stuff for his constituents. Tying up traffic for a few days (albeit massively)? Just not going to do it. It just annoys people. The whole point of sticking it to someone is making sure they know you’re sticking it to them.

I was thinking the same thing when I heard the news about the bridge problems … your the first person I heard say it out loud or in print I should say.

Such a dumb move I don’t see how anyone with class could think of such a move.

Two senior members of Gov. Chris Christie’s administration warned a New Jersey mayor earlier this year that her town would be starved of hurricane relief money unless she approved a lucrative redevelopment plan favored by the governor, according to the mayor and emails and personal notes she shared with MSNBC.

The mayor, Dawn Zimmer, hasn’t approved the project, but she did request $127 million in hurricane relief for her city of Hoboken – 80% of which was underwater after Sandy hit in October 2012. What she got was $142,000 to defray the cost of a single back-up generator plus an additional $200,000 in recovery grants…

I have to say I don’t know that much about him, but when his scandal broke they were showing clips of when he was doing things to be considered "a bully"and one of the clips absolutely turned me off. One of his constituents asked “Why would you cut funding to public education for my children when your kids get to go to private school” His response? “First of all, it’s none of your business” I understand maybe he felt she was asking about his kids, but this was a very unprofessional response, in my opinion. Her question was legit, if you ask me. You are asking my kids to go to poorly funded schools but you won’t send your kids there, why do your kids deserve a better education than mine. A classy (and slick) politician may have responded “I understand your concerns…blah blah blah”, he just shot off at the mouth and it was VERY unbecoming of a professional. I’m a therapist, I work in a middle and high school, I have kids mouth off to me everyday, call me names etc. as a professional in any position, to respond in such a way, really shows a lack of class, not to mention professionalism.
