I’m always something kinda slutty (which isn’t particularly clever or unique ). I view Halloween as my chance to unleash my inner drag queen. Last year, I was a devil girl in a catholic school girl outfit with thigh-high vinyl boots. I’ve also often been Bettie Page and She-Hulk. This year I’m toying with the idea of being a cyber Geisha and combining this costume with this wig. But I’m pretty busy so I might just do the Bettie Page thing again…
I did find an Edvard Munch The Scream mask (actually TWO of them) at the Salvation Army today.
Only wearing something like that that someone else was *breathing * on just gives me the heebie jeebies.
And if I cleaned it up with some bleach or ammonia, the residue would be on the plasticy and stink and give me a migraine.
That would be bad.
I think I will dress as a SAHM.
I’m going to be performing for a group of people diguised as drunk Parrot Heads. Of course this group of people seems to disguise themselves like that a couple of times a week.
Depends on whether or not I have anywhere to go besides work. If I do, I’ll reprise my old Spike Spiegel (of Cowboy Bebop fame) costume, of which I’ve posted pictures in various threads around here.
It may be unoriginal, but I keep adding to it. Last year my dad spray-painted a wig, bought a faded maroon trench coat from Goodwill, wore my katana on his back, and went as Vicious. My best friend decided to do a spur-of-the-moment Ed costume, as can be seen in the photos. I know a girl who, with a little prodding, will make an excellent Faye. Now all I need is a huge guy who’s willing to wear a fake bionic arm, and we’re good to go.
I’m probably not doing anything. I’m such a loser sigh. But I did find a costume at wal-mart that I really really really want… It’s a horse that fits around you, like you’re riding it, but your legs come out of the bottom so you can walk. But it’s for 5-year olds.
I’m going to be glad it’s almost over for another year.
Well, we don’t do Hallowe’en in Australia. But I will be ‘in costume’ - my choir robes as we sing first Vespers for the feast of All Saints (All Hallows) on 1 November.
I have no idea. I want to dress up to take my boy trick or treating (he’s about 18 months old), but I don’t know what to be. I was thinking devil (I found this great red dress), but I’m in MN and it’s just too damn cold for that. He’s a dragon, so I’d like to find something to go along with that.
Yeah, no clue.
Be the damsel in distress! You could even get That Guy to be the knight in shining armor!
Note: “That Guy” is what I call my son’s father in chat, not to be confused with “ThatGuy” the SDMB poster.
Thanks for the idea, bouv.
