D’oh! I saw him mention in the OP that it was his “first thread”, and interpreted that as “first post”. A simple mistake, really. This also explains why I didn’t see his name all over the board.
And the only sauce I’ve been drinking is Tabasco

Actually, I was registered in April, but never got around to posting until June because I didn’t get my password until then. But, hey, I’m working on it
You know I have always felt the same. I don’t drink, ever. My dad had a very serious drinking problem and I have seen what alcohol can do to a family and I want no part of it. I don’t like the taste YUCK! I hate when people’s personality changes when they have a few drinks, why would anyone want to be around that? I know it may sound silly but I don’t like to be around when alcohol is in the picture.
*Alcohol, my permanent accesory
Alcohol, a partytime necessity
Alcohol, alternative to feeling like yourself
Oh alcohol - I still drink to my health
I thought that alcohol was just for those with nothing else to do,
I thought that drinking just to get drunk was a waste of precious booze,
But now I know that there’s a time and there’s a place where I can choose,
To walk the fine line between self control, and self abuse.*
“Alcohol”

Sorry if that appears to be a hijack, but it seemed strangely relevant. Or maybe its just the beer talking. Seriously though Mauve, if you do not want to drink then don’t let anyone pressure you too. The fact is alcohol is a drug.

This from the British Royal College of Psychiatrists (check the press releases): Drinking alcohol moderately and reducing blood pressure could protect against cognitive decline in later life
Just my 2 pennies’ worth…
