Well, if History is any guide, in future Bush will be vilified for invading Iraq about as much as now Kennedy is being vilified for invading Vietnam, which is not at all.
Wake up, external war is nothing. Kennedy doesn’t get any blame for invading Vietnam, nobody is mad at Johnson for escalation of Vietnam war, Nixon doesn’t get much credit for ending Vietnam war. Now, Watergate that is another matter entirely.
That’s because it was spread over three administrations (although I’m not sure what universe you are in that doesn’t still blame Johnson for escalating the war…).
Iraq is Bush’s War. That’s the difference.
And I wonder which universe one have to reside in to say things like that. Iraq is American war. Starting with support for Hussein during his war with Iran, through liberation of Kuwait, through repeated Clinton bombings, subversion of inspections, culminating in Iraq Liberation declaration, on to present day…
But no, it’s all Bush fault! All the while, some other people try to blame Eisenhower for Vietnam war.
