She was a one hit wonder, but as far as I can tell it was for lack of trying. And what a song Goodbye Horses, featured in several hit films in unforgettable scenes and even to this day everyone recognizes it for the scene in Silence Of The Lambs with Buffalo Bill. Even to this day the song appears in media and is iconic.

But she did nothing else except live work and appearing in one or two small films?!

Never even recorded an album?!

Mysterious singer who is most well-known for the song “Goodbye Horses,” featured first in the 1988 film Married To The Mob and then again (and most famously) in the 1991 film The Silence Of The Lambs. In the latter, the movie’s antagonist, Buffalo Bill, smears lipstick on himself and dances to the song while admiring himself in a mirror. This scene was also mimicked by Jay in the 2006 film Clerks II.

Was there some reason she basically abandoned a music career after releasing one hit single?

I have wondered about her for years, going all the way back to 7th grade when I first saw “Silence of the Lambs.” I looked information about the song up on the internet and was struck by how obscure the singer was.

I’d really love to know more. This could make a really documentary segment.
