Not in the fridge, but on it. You know, like what the KVS family has - various magnets from merchant’s in the neighborhood, some kid artwork, some kid 100% spelling tests, a school calendar, picture magnets from softball, and old, yellowing cartoons that are still funny.
Kid art, kid art, and more kid art. And a $20 bill.
- A letter from my seven-year old’s teacher saying how much he’s improved (even signed by the principal!)
- An Incredible Hulk magnet
- Two Curious George magnets
- Two WHFS magnets
- A Land Rover magnet
- A magnet my seven year old made last year (I think it’s a laminated snowman made from construction paper)
- A Kaiser Permanente magnet with their phone number and location
- Fingerprints (I really need to wipe down the fridge)
Mostly magnets from around the world.
About 80 pictures of my kid and enough travel magnets to warp light. Seriously, my refrigerator looks bent.
Magnets, a postcard, a notepad, bottle opener, Sparkletts Water Delivery Calendar, and a sign that says “Be Nice or Leave (Thank You)”.
Some Cubs-themed magnetic poetry, some Kenyon College-themed magnetic poetry, magnets of the many moods of Homer, a magnet of Michaelangelo’s David and some outfits to cover his shame, Mr. Beef, some travel magnets, some kid art, some photos, and an envelope from Tickets.com containing the rest of my Cubs tickets for the season.
Hmmm…

Mr. Honey hates having anything stuck on the fridge. Since this is such a foolish thing to fight about, I let him have his own way.
I used to have my large collection of ad magnets. My cat Freckles is quite the leaper, though, so I had to store them. Now the door of the top-freezer has magnets holding coupons, baseball tix, schedules, and such. Sometimes Freckles removes even these.

When Gundy said:
“a magnet of Michaelangelo’s David and some outfits to cover his shame, Mr. Beef”
I had my best laugh of the day.
–Magnetic Poetry (the “Alien” version)
–Photos for which I have yet to get frames (mostly of me as a kid–am I narcissistic, or what?)
–Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day cards from my dog (she made them at Doggie Day Care)
–A magazine ad that depicts an elderly man next to a bicycle, to which is taped a handwritten caption that reads: By the time he’d ridden his bicycle to Kansas, El Tigre was too old to court Auntie Em. He had to settle for moving into the shed behind her house and soiling his pants in excitement when she mowed the lawn.*

Various magnets
Some pictures of my kid
A drawing of a cat that Dominic drew

Magnet of Bryce Canyon. I told you I love those canyons
Address and phone number of my younger sister and husband in Scotland
Picture of a guy I used to work with who died of cancer at age 38, leaving a wife and two children. I look at this when I get depressed and need some encouragement to persevere.
A photocopy of a cartoon from The New Yorker in which a man has climbed a mountain to seek the wisdom of a wise man. The wise man tells him, “The meaning of life is cats.” The wise man is surrounded by cats. Definitely funnier to see than to read a description, but sometimes when I’m holding my cat I think that the meaning of life is cats.
A photo magnet from Florence, Oregon. A photo frame magnet with a photo of Mr. Pence on stage as Guglielmo in Cosi Fan Tutte. Some pig magnets.
