Ive got two rings, one has my car key and a keychain that was a sample from a leash (as in dog leash) company, which is something like four inches of a cute-but-not-barfy-cutsey ladybug patterned dog leash nylon looped back upon itself, making a two or three inch tab that’s great for grabbing keys. Anyway, the loop and the car key are on a single ring, easily detachable for loaning the key to a repair shop guy, etc.
Attached to that is a ring with a bottle opener, a house key, some other unidentifiable housekey, the key to Mr. Armadillo’s car, a key to SisterArmadillo’s car, and a nifty antique skeleton key from MamaArmadillo’s antique shop. I find it mildly amusing to keep it in with the rest of the ordinary keys, although it makes a nice keychain-thingie in and of itself.
Okay, one is just my car keys: ignition, door and clicker gizmo.
My work keys have a small leather folder w/ various useful cards in the pockets and 14 keys on the ring. Yep. 14, and all of them necessary.
My personal ring only has 5 keys on it: several house keys (different locks), luggage key, post office box key. Attached to the ring is a small pair of nail clippers (very handy) and a little peweter book “charm” on a chain. It has Rachel Carson on the cover, and a quote from her on the back: “Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find strength that will endure as long as life lasts.”
