I seriously doubt that the RNC will want to answer any further questions about the clothes. I expect that months from now when expense reports are filed, this will be buried under a heap, and be indistinguishable from any other expense. I seriously doubt that there’ll be line items such as an expense noted as “Clothing for Palin and family” and “charitable contribution of line item referenced above”.

The numbers aren’t inflated, in the sense that these are the numbers that the RNC reimbursed people for. So if you’re saying that the numbers are inflated, you’re accusing someone of expense account fraud. Traditionally Sarah Palin is the one who gets accused of this, but you’re free to expand your horizons on the matter.
