Wondering, on another message board discussing groups of people who may be anti-social, they were put forward as a group that was anti-social because they wanted to rebuild society in a better way; “The purpose of the AHF today is to be an institution for the development and reconstruction of our integral culture”
It sounded dubious and Googling brought up some links to do with National Socialism and White Pride. Are they extremists? Or a cover for some less savoury characters? On the other board I was told they were merely hijacked by extremists and really had quite noble aims.
Whats up with the AHF?
The “Allgermanische Heidnische Front” is the All-Germanic Heathens’ Front. Like many other groups in Europe, they stress racial purity and argue that political structures should be based on “tribal” associations. So that, for example, Saxony would be an independent nation for only Saxons.
Wht sets this group apart is that they also overlay this with anti-Christian rhetoric, advocating a return to pagan beliefs they think are indigineous to that “tribe”. Also, they are anti-Semitic and linked to neo-nazi organizations.
The original “noble aims” may be related to Ásatrú, a neo-pagan religion that claims the heritage of Norse mythology. Historically, Norse mythologies have been attractive to Nazis such as Himmler. Today, these same myths have also been used by Matthew Hale’s “religion” and other extremists.
The use of these myths by extremists does not mean, however, that all neo-pagans are themselves extremist. But this Allgermanische Heidnische Front does appear to have those connections.
