So who stole the boxes? [The movie "Friday"]

In Friday, did Craig actually steal the boxes that got him fired? He said they ain’t got him on tape, but his boss said they did. Now he didn’t strike me as someone stupid enough to steal boxes and/or get fired on his day off.

So was it Debo? Ezel? Craig? Someone else entirely?

Felecia.

What show/movie/comic/book etc is this about so I can update the title?

The OP says “In Friday…” Friday is a 1995 film with a primary character called Craig, so presumably that’s what he’s talking about.

Thanks- I wasn’t sure if it was a typo of “On Friday” (as in a show or comic that appeared Friday). I’ve never heard of the movie.

I got enough reports to know I wasn’t the only one confused!

ETA: Title edited for clarification

I always was of the impression that it was someone else entirely, and that Craig just got blamed for it, and got fired on his day off, thereby setting the stage for the rest of the movie.

It wasn’t a big conspiracy/mystery that begged being figured out, but just a bit of throwaway exposition that would put Craig in the right situation to smoke it up with Smokey.

 Way to ruin my Felecia/Keyser Soze theory. Do you want to come over and tell my nephew there’s no Santa?

Craig never actually denies stealing the boxes, he just denies them having it on tape. Red mentions that he saw the tape and that it looked like the back of Craig’s head.

Craig didn’t steal the boxes.

There’s an extended scene of his dad at the end of the movie, dropping nuggets from his throne, telling him that his supervisor called and wants him to come back into work in the morning.
