So why isn't Jerry Stiller's movie THE INDEPENDENT available on video or DVD?

I refuse to watch movies edited for TV, but it looks halfway decent from the sequences I’ve seen.

When you premier on cable and don’t even have a video or DVD release, I predict severe incompetence at some level of production.

I suspect it premiered on TV because Comedy Central wouldn’t pay as much for a movie that was already on tape and/or DVD.

As for the quality of the film, I thought it was pretty funny. I thought it was written for TV. You know, a television movie? I understand Jerry Stiller has some strong ideas about using profanity, so I don’t think there was much that needed to be cut. Especially for Comedy Central. This is the network that airs South Park, after all.
