So you can handle kitty pictures, but what about kitty AND puppy? (Pictures? Oh yes.)

As I am sure most of you remember, my last post was about naming my new kitten. I eventually settled on Toby.

Today I got a new puppy man from the SPCA as a . . . well, replacement isn’t the right word, but you know what I mean. . . for Scooby.

Agni (Hindu god of fire, in case you were wondering) is a shepard cross who is 5-6 months old. He’s very calm, very sweet, and very smart (he already knows how to sit!). Best of all, Agni gets along well with our chow Doc and Mr. Toby.

Naturally, photography ensued.

Doesn’t it look like they got caught doing something naughty?

“Hrm, he’s big, dumb, and slobbery, but his tail sure is fun to bat.”

They wore themselves out with all the tail smacking (wow, that sounds entirely too dirty for this completely innocent post!)

Big puppy, little kitty.

More cuteness

“Hey! Where’d that tail thing go?”

“I wonder if he is as cute as me. . . nah!”

And finally, blurry but cute.

Adorable, no? Agni has the prettiest- er- most handsome coat. Any guesses to what he’s a mix of?

Those pictures went off the AWWWWWW-O-Meter. Looks like you’ve got a seriously cute fur family there.
Agni looks like he may have some Australian sheperd, and maybe collie. It’s hard to say from the photos, and he may grow into other characteristics. He had a smart-alecky look on his face in some of the photos, like he’s just humoring you right now, but he’s looking for a chance to prove he is a superior life form. Also in the photos, he seems to have really big paws; he’ll grow into them.

Looks like there’s some Great Dane in there somewhere.

Awww. There’s just something about a teeny tiny kitten with a pony-sized puppy that makes my day. It’s beyond cute!

And you’re purty too!

I’d just like to say: Awwwwwwwwwwww!!!

GT

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY cute !! You know we’ll want to hear all the stories, don’t you ? It’s true.

squee!

look around, smile because I live alone and can make whatever noises I like

How CUTE! I love brindle dogs, and the dark brindles are my favorite. He’s a handsome fellow.

Well, if you insist!

Yesterday, when I brought Agni home, he and Toby were getting along pretty well. Agni could really care less about Toby, but Toby was eye balling Agni. Anytime Agni would come close, Toby would do a sad, kitten attempt at a hiss (it sound more like a puff of air).

They were laying on the bed together and Agni got up to explore. During his exploration he stumbled across Toby’s water dish. . . and began to drink.

Toby FLEW across the room and landed smack between his water dish and Agni. He looked at Agni, did a little hiss, put on his best angry face (and it was pretty angry), and smacked Agni across the nose.

Agni ran off and cowered, in fear of the kitten, for the next hour.

And I swear that I have never seen that angry of a kitten in my life. He was pissed.

I think he does have some Aussie shepard, maybe a lil’ german shepard (the nose), but I’m not sure what else. I don’t think great dane because he really isn’t that big. His paws are medium sized at best (and this is coming from an ex great dane owner, so I know big paw size).

Perhaps he just looks huge next to the seven week old kitten?

Aww, cute! And I was wondering if Angi might be part greyhound because of the lean build and brindling, but there are other breeds that can have brindle coats too. Still, his coat looks a lot like my Idol’s.
