Livestrong does not raise money for cancer research.
“Livestrong” – it even sounds like a steroid abuse program.
I now have my new LIVESTRONG bracelet. A couple of people have asked if I wear it because I still believe in his charity. I have replied that I wear it in support of Armstrong’s systematic use of drugs to cheat at sport. This seems to puzzle them so I add, “And the charity thingie too.”
They are probably puzzling over your archaic and somewhat elitist usage of the word “sport”.

The statute of limitations only applies to some matters. Murder, for instance, is not governed by it.
And I didn’t think this conversation was about a Court action.
This is how I like to imagine a dopefest. We all get together, order some good scotch, bring up topics like cat declawing or the evil of pit bulls, get everyone all worked the fuck up to a frenzy, then just start busting out the smart phones and screaming, “Really?? You sure you want to make that statement, Nzinga, when you said the dumbest shit I ever heard at 2:37 pm on July 10th 2007 in the baby raping thread!!! Everybody, just look at this shit!”
In all fairness, you weren’t the worst one in that thread. None of the participants exactly covered themselves with glory. I still feel embarassed when I think of the tangent I went off on about bio-diesel.

So where can I find a “LIVEWRONG” bracelet? Everyone’ll assume I’m a fan of Lance or Cancer Research, and I can say “Did you actually read it?”

As someone who’s been following the “Was LA doping?” debate for a long time it really is most amusing to see the change that has come over the (let’s face it, essentially US) consensus. Used to be that consensus was that LA was not doping and:
a/ Doping was not at all OK
b/ It is offensive and outrageous to assume LA was doping merely because many others were.
But as of a month ago, suddenly the world is seen with fresh and dare I say revisionist eyes. Now, OK, it seems Lance was doping but:
c/ what’s wrong with doping anyway, really?
d/ obviously he was doping, everyone was doping, anyone who didn’t realise he was doping was a fool.
As for Livestrong, it may be legit. But I’d need a lot more proof than I’ve seen to believe it. And if you believe it’s legit, may I remind you of the saying “fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me”. The key person behind Livestrong is a barefaced liar.
I’m glad that no nutzoid brought a weapon :eek: or start a big huge fight smashing each other with smart phones and paper towel tubes!
If there’s a DopeFest with good scotch and a Paper Towel Tube Fight, I need a week’s notice. So I can cancel all my less important things (annual salary review, wife’s birthday, my elderly mother’s surgery…).
