What song is playing while you’re slaying?
Huey Lewis And The News - Hip To Be Square
In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is “Hip to be Square”, a song so catchy, most people probably don’t listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it’s not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it’s also a personal statement about the band itself.
“Love Life,” by The Rutles.
[American Psycho]
*"I’ve been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn’t understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins’ presence became more apparent.
I think Invisible Touch was the group’s undisputed masterpiece. It’s an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe.
Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress.
In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism."

[/American Psycho]
So hilarious because he completely downplays the groundbreaking work of the earlier Genesis (yes, even including a couple albums after Gabriel left) and demonstrates the detachment of reality we would expect from a psychopath by elevating the band’s more pedestrian work to greatness.
HeeHee, those wacky psychopaths!!
Yakety Sax.
I was going to say Battery by Metallica, but I think **Oakminster **wins.
Singin’ in the Rain, my little droogies.
Pomp and Circumstance as I repeatedly hit the diving elbow drop.
Stealers Wheel - Stuck in the Middle
The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down - Looney Tunes
Dust in the Wind - Kansas
Can’t believe no one has mentioned Beethoven’s 9th yet…
That “I Love You, You Love Me” song by that purple dinosaur? Or maybe Slim Whitman’s cover of “Indian Love Call”?
“Raindrops keep falling on my head…”
Well, Annihilator’s King of the Kill would be thematic, but I really want to go to town with a fireaxe to the Safety Dance.
Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin.
Loony Tunes song.
Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.
Holy shit that cracked me up
“Always Look On the Bright Side of Life.”
