I have an issue with this thread being closed.
Even though it’s policy that the SDMB shouldn’t be used to do one’s homework, in this case the OP wasn’t asking this, but asking for advices about how to approach the issue :

It seems to me that this request for help is legitimate and that such enquiries shouldn’t be discouraged.
Opinions? Could engineer comp geek (who closed the thread) chime in?
I closed it because it seemed to be a little too much of just directly asking for the answer instead of just asking for help. Upon re-reading it, the OP is a bit vague about the exact nature of the essay and what they are looking for, so I decided to re-open it. Since this is a new poster here, I also added some instructions about what is and is not permitted here with respect to homework.
And you are right. We do want to encourage people to ask for help when they are stuck. What we want to avoid is the folks who just want us to do their work for them.
