Softball Players - Glove Question

I’m going to purchase a Shoeless Joe (www.shoelessjoeballgloves.com) glove. If you visit its website under “Men’s Softball” you’ll see only two gloves, one left and one right, both the same size, 14." Depending on which league/team I’m playing on, I could be in either the infield or outfield. It strikes me that a 14" glove could be a little large for the infield. Opinions appreciated.

I would be concerned about the size in baseball; in softball I would suggest the larger glove at any position. A small glove can make a firm grasp difficult. I started playing softball with a 12" Rawlings infielder’s glove and switched a larger model within a month.

The Pro Select Series has a nice 12.5" model if you have smaller hands or just like the control of a small glove.

As a Chicago guy, I gotta point out that you folk are playing “kittenball”, and that real softball players use a 16" clincher and no gloves!
