Solitaire is ruining my life - deleting games from Ipod

For many years now, whenever I get a new computer at the office, the first thing I do is tell the tech people to delete all the games – solitaire, minesweeper, etc. – because I just can’t control myself around them. I don’t enjoy them at all, but they turn me into a mouse-clicking zombie.

For years, this worked for me. Now, though, the games on my Ipod have sucked me in and I have racked up a disgusting number of plays of solitaire and breakout. I need to get rid of them. But I can’t figure out how. I’ve told it not to sync games, but it doesn’t seem to affect the three pre-loaded games.

Can anyone help?

My quick survey of Apple’s website and the usual support forums turns up quite a few assertions that they can’t be deleted (which is kind of annoying, actually.) What you can do, though, is turn off the “Extras” menu (Settings > Main Menu, then uncheck “Extras”.) If you regularly use any of the other extras, such as Clocks, Alarms, Calendars, etc., you can also enable them individually in the same Settings menu without having “Games” enabled. The games will still be on your iPod, but you’ll have no way to easily access them.

Thanks, MikeS. Marochko, thanks for nothing.
