I can’t make a decision, so help me. Me and Pricegal went skiing last Sunday (the first time I went skiing in my life, and never having gone skiing is close to a crime in Sweden) which was tremendous fun. Unfortunately, it also cost a lot of money. This Saturday, I could go to a big and enormously fun Magic the Gathering (a card game) tournament (it’s been a while since I played in a tournament and I’m experiencing withdrawal), but it would set me back about SEK 500 (roughly $60). Both me and Pricegal are students and we have very little money.
So, Dopers, help me. Spend the money and have fun, or save the money and do something else this Saturday?
When it isn’t my money I always vote to spend the money and have fun.

Spend it. I guess you’re not starving, so how could you spend that cash better than on having fun?
Does pricegirl play MtG? If not then save the money, MtG uses up more money than a crack habbit if you let it (how much are Black Lotuses these days?). With the new card sets coming out so frequently you’ll find skiing is cheap in comparisson.
$300-1000, but only the Type 1 geeks need them, so that doesn’t worry me.
I’ve been playing since 1994 and playing seriously since 2000, so I know the costs pretty well. I’ve sold most of my cards and given up Constructed to be able to do something fun this summer.
