Some data on the affects of technology on things ? (Please move if neede)

I am not sure if this should be in IMHB so please mods, feel free to move it another forum.

Anyhow, I am looking for a wesites/paper that contains a few datas to

  • show how technology affects goverment/economy/society/job market during the last 10 to 20 years.
  • the difference in productivity between industrialized contries and non-industrialized countries (i.e third world countries), technologically

I guess there data shoud be available at some gov websites but I don’t really know where to start.

Thanks a lot

Yikes. What a topic. I couldn’t find anything concrete, but these sites might help you get started if you want to do some research on your own:

FirstGov - Official US gov search engine and portal.
Google Scholar - Search through scholarly papers.
Google Answers - High-quality answers if you’re willing to pay.
CIA World Factbook - hard and fast statistics on most countries in the world. You could compare GDPs and such, but I don’t know how you would measure levels of industrialization.

Try keywords like “technology productivity by country”

Those are just starting points. Maybe someone else can provide better/more direct links.
