Can anyone give me some good online source for a Macroecon. class that are also free? The information I’m looking for is pretty standard stuff and I have to create my own Domestic and International Trade graphs based on the information. I have to do the project on a country and discuss recent economic events. So a source that has information on several different countries would be nice.
Ah, early May, the end of the semester.
Have you tried the Bureau of Economic Analysis?
I think that is more about the U.S. economy right? I have to do the project on a foreign country.
Check out www.economist.com Hopefully your school has access to the full online version.
If I were in your boots I’d probably be at my university library digging around in the EconLit database, looking for a journal article that discusses the exact data that I’m looking for, for the specific country I’m interested in, and then figuring out where they got their data.
I don’t really know of any single website that provides vast amounts of macroeconomic and trade data for every country in the world, for free. One idea would be to select an english speaking foreign country, and then dig around for whatever their equivalent of the BEA is.
