Scroll about a third of the way down this page to the guy with the flag and shotgun. This guy is now officially my new hero. That, people, is how you react to a natural disaster.
Sniff. Makes me so… proud. Sniff.
and I bet he takes a knife to a gun fight too…
That’s a great pic! Does anybody else get a Bruce Campbell vibe there?
And not to throw a too serious note into a ‘fun thread’, but if you *really *want to be a proud American, the second pic ought to do it. I wonder how bad the weather will need to be before those guys will take shelter indoors?
There is a guard booth out of the picture (to the left of the Tomb) where they can take (limited) shelter. The Tomb will not be abandoned. It has been guarded around the clock since April of 1948. It has been guarded through multiple hurricanes, blizzards etc. It will be guarded through this one, and the ones that follow.

Nothing improves one’s aim with a weapon quite like clutching a large sail in a stiff breeze.
Pull!
He’s aiming at a hurricane. I’m sure he’ll at least manage to wing it.
I think this guy misunderstood when his daddy told him to wait until he sees the white of his eye.
It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
Someone should tell him about King Canute.
That photo would make a good Rorschach test. I suspect we’re not seeing the same thing at all when we look at it.
I see a guy who, I’m pretty sure, posed for what is a deliberately goofy picture. What do you see?
A butterfly?

A penis…
Opening day on Canada geese.
Daddy on top of Mommy and mommy is screaming and moaning and he keeps bouncing on top of her…
Well I definitely don’t see a pussy.
That picture has been floating around the internets for a couple of months now. I think I first saw it on Reddit.
I don’t like it when that lady says “Altitude, Altitude”.
Why do you hate Americans who love America?
