Running Free off of Iron Maiden’s Live after Death
Evidently I’m too late, but I would have recommended Johnny Winters’ “Mean Town Blues”.
The next time you do this, you can put on Little Feat “Waiting on Columbus”, and take a really big break.
Michael Hedges - Because it’s there
Follow the long break with the Outlaws “Green Grass and High Tides” and you won’t even have to come in.
Three guitars doing the definition of “cookin’.”
That song’s pure fun but even so it doesn’t come close to the Kink’s “Victoria” off of One for the Road, the get the kids to stomp so hard the building comes down rocker of all time. You can use the lead-in, “You Really Got Me,” to set it up properly.
Or anything else from this great album – try Love in Vain! (Most of the album’s vocals, and a few other parts, were re-dubbed in the studio, but never mind that.)
Throw in a track or two from the Grateful Dead’s Europe '72 – maybe China Cat Sunflower/I Know You Rider, or Playin’ in the Band. (Although this album was even more retouched than Ya-Ya’s, but oh well.)
Jethro Tull’s Bursting Out is another good live album, but beware the CD version – they spliced the tracks wrong, so Ian Anderson’s song-specific patter is attached to the wrong songs. I especially like Sweet Dream and One Brown Mouse.
Holy crap Whitesburg has a radio station, I have family I havent seen in years in Mayking.
Leon Russell doin’ Jumpin’ Jack flash/ Youngblood. Major rock.
