Well, if I have to guess I’d say the insurance covers it… 
By the way, interestingly, I couldn’t spot any damage from bird strikes*, not even in the remaining engine, so the plane might just hit the birds smack in the middle of the fans.
No dents on the leading edge slats, the tail surfaces or engine intake rim.
- The hole on the top of the nose cone may be bird strike damage, but it may also had been caused by the tugs, ferrys or the salvage operation. The later is more likely since it appears to be punched from above, not from the front.*
How could geese get insurance?
