Absolutely, I said earlier if this guy has previously had black tenants and just changed to all white because of Trump, I would be 100% in the wrong. but nothing in the OP says anything about Trump, and is it more likely than not this is the way he has always run his flats? Yes, I dont know, which is why I dont assume this guy changed policy because of trump with no cite he did. He’s supposedly gone from having black tenants, to no longer allowing them to even be guests of his white tenants, all in three years under Trump?

That’s not a necessary assumption. As I said, he could have been quietly discriminating for years, and just recently felt comfortable enough to be more blatant. It’s not implausible that he could have rejected applications from people of color for many years without being called out for it. Generally it’s much, much easier to refuse to lease an apartment to a person (citing credit concerns or some other excuse) than to evict them once you let them in. He could have kept his place segregated by that method without having to be blatant about it.
Again, I’m just explaining how it’s possible his recent actions came about because of the Trump administration, the alt right, and so on. The normalization of a step back in civil rights. But like you, I don’t really know either way…
