Some things remain unclear

I think I have most of it figured out by now, but I’m still wondering about a few things. First of all, what is ;j supposed to mean? When does one use it? Are only happy orthodox jewish men allowed to use it?
Also, what does logged in the lower righthand corner of each post mean? At first I thought it meant that the member was logged on, but I realized that not everyone could be here all the time.

Yours truly,

Hi to my favourite Swedish chick!

The logged means that your IP address from the computer you posted from was kept by the server, and if the mods (mods, gods, hmmm…) need to find that out, they just have to click that link… We of the TM, however, cannot get the IP addresses.

I wasn’t around when ;j was introduced, so I can’t answer that one.

Anxiously awaiting Ask the Swedish Chick II,

The short answer is it’s just for fun. Anyone can use it.

It’s the first new one, but more are being discussed.
The most likely use, besides with Jewish greetings and holiday wishes, and Judaism discussions, is in signatures, or in groups of smilies.

Here’s the initial discussion.
Jdavis: New smiley? It flashed by, but when I clicked on it said Illegal thread?

If you want more smilies, please mention that HERE:

New smileys, again.
