Someone blockade the kitchen or too much comfort food is not a good thing!

This past week I have been cooking like a mad woman.

For breakfasts which are normal fruit or toast on the run, we had pancakes, french toast, omelettes and even homemade biscuits.

Dinners have been spagetti with meat sauce, salad and garlic bread, chicken enchilada’s, mexican rice and pinto beans, meatloaf, roasted potatoes, baked beans and rolls, Pork chops, mashed potato’s, carrots and butter beans, homebaked macaroni and cheese with ham and tomato’s, tomato soup and homemade croutons.

I baked a chocolate cake and made frosting from scratch, a pecan pie, oatmeal cookies, brownies with walnuts, and strawberry shortcake. I served lime jello and coolwhip with the chicken enchilada’s and I even crumbled heath bar on their ice cream.

Some one please, ban me from the kitchen. I’m going to kill myself or my family by trying to make us feel better by cooking for them like this.

Er …

You could always pack some up and send it to a certain address in NZ.

Pretty please?

don’t feel bad. i’m the cook in the house, and i’ve been so numb that i haven’t cooked anything since monday night. actually, i’ve eaten 1 meal a day since monday night, and my poor husband has had to make himself mac and cheese or beefaroni for dinner every night. i wish i could cook up a storm, like you are, i’d feel a lot better about myself, but the idea of cooking just seems so futile…

your family is lucky to have you.
