A guy I’ve been working with recently for an experimental game design course is one of the 2 creators behind a little multiplayer flash game called Quadradius:
It’s a turn based board game similar to checkers, only there are these power orbs that give your checker pieces crazy powers that make the game really fun. The game has been described as “bionic checkers” and “chess on crack.”
I have mixed reasons for posting this. On one hand, the game is in beta still and is pretty unknown, so I want to try to make it popular by spreading the word because it’s really fun. On the other hand, because it’s multiplayer and there aren’t a whole lot of people playing it yet, it sometimes takes a while for me to get an opponent. I figured if I got this game on the radar of some crafty, strategy/board-game-lovin’ Dopers, I could gain some more worthy adversaries.
So check it out if you have some time. Join the lobby and click on a opponent to challenge them. If you see “psychocide” in there, that’s me. There isn’t any lobby chat yet, so just challenge me and in game let me know you’re a Doper. I’ll be happy to explain any game rules you don’t understand to you while we play!
