Someone's at the door.

Shaun Cassidy made a great TV show back in 1995. One of the best creepy shows ever. Pity it didn’t last.

Cruising IMDb, I found a new movie in pre-production. Anyone know if these are related in any way? Or is it just a title coincidence?

I think the movie is a coincidence. The plot doesn’t seem to be connected to the show. Besides, what good would it be without Gary Cole?

See also, my previous thread.

The DVD set is definitely on my to buy list.

How did I miss that thread? That was one of my fave shows evar!

I think it’s just a coincidence. Shaun didn’t say anything about it at Comic-Con. He does, however, have a new series on this fall that looks very interesting: Invasion. On right after** Lost**, in fact. The preview we saw was very…interesting.

A fucked up Mayberry. How could that not have been picked up for more eps? Did Shaun Cassidy piss someone off at the network or something?

I’m guessing it’s a coincidence and they’re both named after this.

Ten years later and I instantly recognize the quote and get a little shiver.

I think Shaun knew that famous peice quite well and used it for the juxtaposition it causes in our minds to hear that title and see the weird shit he filmed.

I didn’t get into the show until the Sci-Fi Channel picked it up. I was shocked to find out that Shaun Cassidy was behind it.

Who would have thought that pretty boy pop star would have a dark side like this.

Gary Cole was freakin’ brilliant. I don’t know who was more evil, his Sheriff Buck or Mike Brady (who he was channelling like a sonuvabitch in the Brady movie).

I like Lucas Black. Did good in Sling Blade, too.

OMG…I LOVED “American Gothic”! I was extremely disappointed that it only lasted for what, six episodes or so?

If it comes out on DVD, I am SO there! Thought I was the only one who watched it. No one I have ever mentioned it to has had any idea what I was talking about.
