Someone's trying to rip off SDMB, and make a profit off of it as well

Wasn’t Gravano one of the guys mentioned, last week, in an article describing how many people are jumping out of the Witness Protection Program because it’s such a hassle to stay in it and the mob has neither the resources nor the desire to run around punishing people for breaking omerta?

Wait a minute, Guy Kawasaki supports it! How could it fail? He’s never put his support behind anything less-than-profitable in the past, as I recall.

<Clears throat.>

[Clears throat loudly.]

Of course the computerized version won’t work. Didn’t these people see Tracy and Hepburn in The Desk Set?

Incidentally, advice.com has been doing something like that for quite a while.

Boy, is this a poorly conceived site.

No e-mail confirmation before you register means that every idiot who wants to abuse it with fake names, asinine questions, and general anti-social behavior is free to do so.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Guy Kawasaki WON’T fail. The site will go public, raise a couple hundred million dollars, he’ll pocket 40-50 million, and then who cares when it tanks? Oh, the investors do. Oh well. One born every minute.

This is a perfect example of a web site that probably has as its main business model, “Get to an IPO, make the original investors a whack of bux.” After that, who cares?

I’m gonna ask them where the numbers go when the math teacher erases the blackboard.

This link works better: https://www.inforocket.com/?mod=dtls_open&qid=4338 . . . and you got 3 bids already!
