Something Positive - the Last Trick-or-Treaters returns

I have to admit, I have been a little disturbed for the past year every time I’ve looked at last year’s finale.

The inaugural comic for 2014, OTOH, is positively heartwarming.

I KINDA like that Randy is departing from the have-horrible-things-about-to-happen-to-little-kids-just-for-its-own-sake nightmare fuel formula*, but one thing that’s always drawn me to his work is his ability to present situations in a twisted and macabre fashion without missing a beat. I hope he’s not losing his touch.

Thoughts, anyone?

*I also find myself wondering if I get to look forward to some more reminders that Halloween doesn’t have to just be about making everything as egregiously gruesome as you can manage.

Bump.

…in the night?

I read the first two panels of today’s comic, and before I scrolled down, I was about 90% certain that something horrible had just happened to his friend Brandon.

Glad it was just a birthday.
