Yet again, Trump snatches bumbling rhetoric from the jaws of victory: “It was like watching a movie!”. In typical fashion, the leaden tongued buffoon displays mastery of bombastic self-promotion, useless superlatives and irrelevant tangents.
Other that giving their approval to take the target out, I never thought the President should get much adulation for the military leadership presumably planning a mission to kill a military target and the troops on the ground for taking them out, I mean I didn’t give Obama much of any credit for Bin Laden and I don’t give Trump any credit for this, it just happened on their watch.
Why did it take so long? When he was running didn’t he say something to the effect that he was smarter than all the generals put together and could defeat ISIS in 30 days?

This is good news. It really is.
He’s just another in large population of murderous assholes. His death will barely cause a ripple in the organization.
I’m impressed that for once, when Trump said he had a big announcement to make, that it actually was something substantial.
He’s a martyr now. This will result in multiple retaliatory attempts by the various ISIS cells. The next few weeks/months are going to see sharp rise terrorist related activity.
The death of bin Laden, as I recall, didn’t lead to any particular uptick in al-Qaeda activity, so there’s a decent chance this won’t lead to ISIS doing anything it wasn’t going to do anyway.
At any rate, no one in their right mind would pass up an opportunity to kill Baghdadi just because it might lead to reprisals.
Oh, no question, and good riddance to the monster. I just think the result will be more significant than a mere ripple within the organization.
