As I mentioned a few months ago, I bought an electric guitar. When working the midnight shift, I have about 5 hours to kill betwen midnight and 5AM, and this seemed a good way to spend my time.
Anyway, just now I was toying around with it. I picked out the intro notes to Dueling Banjos. Upon hitting just the right notes, a chill went up my spine. I began to giggle uncontrollably (security guards shouldn’t giggle). It made me feel more alive than I have all day.
Seemed mundane and pointless, and I figured I’d share. Anyone else had similiar experiences?
Man, don’t it just! I’ve worked out the chords on a lot of tunes in my time. Some were quite tricky, just the exact fingering, to get just the right nuance that is in the song. When you finally find just the right chord, nuance of chord, MAN! There’s no better feeling than that.
