I know that the general impression is that there are too many lawyers. But is there any field of law or type of practice where there is shortage of lawyers?
Oh sure, there are lots of areas where they need more lawyers. Consumer protection, privacy law, environmental law, I’m sure you can think of others. But I think the real problem is not the lack of lawyers, it’s the lack of lawyers acting in the interests of the public, vs. the hordes of lawyers acting on behalf of corporations or governments.
