Song from Russian Gremlins

When the Russian Gremlins attack the plane in this cartoon they’re singing a catchy little dirge “We are Russian Gremlins …” I’ve also heard this song in Shrek. When they’re taking rewards for fairy creatures and loading up the truck some of them are singing it. I checked the credits for the song but none of them seemed right. “Meditation” by Jobim, Gimbel and Mendocca seemed closest but the examples I heard of it don’t sound like the same one.

What is that song?

The tune is the music from “Song of the Volga Boatmen” The original composer is anonymous but in 1917 it was orchestrated by Igor Stravinsky and became familiar to a wider audience. I knew the title so I did a google search and that is what I came up with. Also available were several other arangements of the music.
