Who wrote and who sang the original Italian version of “I who have nothing” sung in English by Ben E. King, Shirley Bassey - both in 1963 but separately, then later by Tom Jones
Io che non vivo is (I think) “You don’t have to say you love me”
Originally this was the italian song “Uno Dei Tanti” by Donida / Mogol. Leiber and Stoller wrote the English lyric to it.
Was this the one that Jerry Butler recorded (late 50’s/early 60’s)?
Cancel that question–the recording I have is by Ben E. King, not Jerry Butler. The credits are listed as Mogil-Donida-Lieber-Stoller.

Thank you all for your help.
It seems the original singer was Joe Sentieri, but later sung by Emilio Pericoli.
