Song Title: Lyric is "It's like rain-n-n-n on your wedding day..."

and it goes on like that with lyrics that describe ironic situations.

I thought it was Sheryl Crow, but I can’t seem to find a Sheryl Crow song with those lyrics.

Anybody know the song?

Thanks…AMAPAC

“Ironic” - Alanis Morrisette

By the time I can post this I predict at least 5 identical answers.

ETA: surprise! I was wrong.

Alanis Morisette, Ironic.

That would be Alanis Morissette. And almost nothing in that song is in fact ironic, but it sure is catchy.

Yeah, I thought that too and I was kind of right. Damn your slightly faster typing!

I think the title is “Ironic”, by Alanis Morrisette. It’s like answering a question on the Internet only to discover two other people have beaten you to it.

Isn’t that ironic?

Thank you all very much; ignorance fought!

And yet perpetuated by the song itself. How ironic!

The most ironic thing about the song being that apparently, Ms Morissette does not know the meaning of the word ironic.

Is it ironic that the OP could’ve found out the answer far more quickly by simply having Googled the word “ironic”?

The OP did not know that the word “ironic” was in the song, which means that your post has the irony of 10,000 spoons.

But what if someone saw that I received a giant box filled with 10,000 spoons and thoughtfully handed me a knife to open it?

The OP could, however, have simply googled the lyrics he did quote, and gotten the answer instantly.

But then we’d miss all the witty repartee.

And isn’t it ironic?

It’s a blackfly in your Chardonnay, I tell ya.

I’m pretty sure it’s “Rio” by Duran Duran.

Oddly, that would only be even close to Ironic if it had been a weatherman had specially predicted clear weather so that they held the wedding outdoors- that would verge on irony.

Did anyone mention that’s Alanis Morrisette?
