That would be Alanis Morissette. And almost nothing in that song is in fact ironic, but it sure is catchy.

The OP did not know that the word “ironic” was in the song, which means that your post has the irony of 10,000 spoons.
But what if someone saw that I received a giant box filled with 10,000 spoons and thoughtfully handed me a knife to open it?
The OP could, however, have simply googled the lyrics he did quote, and gotten the answer instantly.

Oddly, that would only be even close to Ironic if it had been a weatherman had specially predicted clear weather so that they held the wedding outdoors- that would verge on irony.
