Songs about Cadillac’s

Oh, and the period goes inside the quotation mark, as well.
Lamest damn grammar Nazi I’ve done seen in a coon’s age.

Actually, since I was using the quotation marks to delimit individual words instead of actual quoted phrases, the comma is correct. However, that being the case, I should have used single quotes instead of double quotes. Gaudere’s Law seems never to fail.

Errr, aren’t these, like, different songs with the same title? Aretha’s goes “We’re going riding on the freeway of love in a pink Cadillac…”

Bruce’s goes “Pink Cadillac, brushed leather seats, riding in the back, cruising down the streets, …”

IIRC, Areatha’s song is “Freeway of Love”.

There’s also “(I Love that) Pink Cadillac” by Sammy Masters & His Rocking Rhythm. I’m pretty sure Chuck Berry’s “No Money Down” is about a guy buying a new Cadillac.

were talking songs about Cadallics! (happy now) lets try to say focused.

so Aretha has two songs about cadallics. i’ll have to include both of them. and i had forgot about the straycats. thats a good one also.

“Two Dope Boyz In A Cadillac”

One of the best OutKast songs ever.

Nah… she did ‘freeway of love’ and ‘pink cadillac’. I was disappointed in her version, because she made it really light and pop-y. I though Miss Aretha would be getting down in that cadillac

Bruce’s version was a B-side on a 45 (am I old or what?) so it may be hard to find.

BTW, making someone a custom cd is just about the coolest thing to do, ever. Your friend is going to be really happy.

It was the B-side to “Dancing in the Dark,” and was released in 1984. It did not appear on Born in the USA.

OK then, my bad. I’ve never heard her version of “Pink Cadillac”, and from your description I think I know why.

Danko Jones - Cadillac

Night wolves moan, winter hills were black . . . Long White Cadillac. Great song.

Excellent guitar solo at the end too.

Guy Drake: Welfare Cadillac

Your basic urban-legend-as-country-song motif.

Sammy Kershaw’s Cadillac Style

Actually, when using words as words, I prefer to signify this with italics: The plural of Cadillac is Cadillacs, not Cadillac’s.

Oh, and “Je N’en Peux Plus Sans Ma Cadillac (I Can’t Go On Without My Cadillac)” by Candye Kane.

I disagree. Springteens music blows, I’d much rather hear an RB version of anything him and the Lame-Street band put out.
