How about Weezer’s ‘‘Freak Me Out’’?
Whoa! I see what you mean. The lyrics website I found earlier had lopped off the last five stanzas. That really does change things.
And Pearl Jam’s ‘‘Jeremy’’ is definitely about a creepy weird kid… even before all the shooting.
Wasn’t Kinko the Kid Loving Clown from The Groove Tube?

Kinky’s “Ballad of Charles Texas Tower Whitman”
If that counts, surely so does his followup, “Obscene Phone Caller.”
Several Ass Ponys songs feature characters who are at least a little on the weird side.
“The Old Apartment” by Barenaked Ladies
“Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who
Not to mention Sally by the Police. But really “Police song about creepy/pervy/weird people” is redundant.
“Court & Spark”, the song not the whole album, is about an actual stalker who was convinced that she looked down from the stage directly at him in the audience while she was performing in SF and sang love songs speficially for him. Months later, he showed up on her doorstep in L.A. begging her to marry him.
Should songs about people who are “creepy/pervy/weird” because they are mentally ill count in this thread? To me, “Behind Blue Eyes” is a song about someone who acts the way he does because he’s bipolar (i.e., manic depressive).
Anyway, for songs about people who “creepy/pervy/weird” because they’re more or less evil, there’s Johnny Cash’s “Cocaine Blues” and “Delia’s Gone.”
I was thinking about this thread earlier, and came up with a song about a weird/creepy/perhaps mentally ill girl: “Around Here” by Counting Crows.
*Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand
She says she’d like to meet a boy who looks like Elvis…
She parks her car outside my house
Takes her clothes off
Says she’s close to understanding Jesus…
She looks up at the building
Says she’s thinking of jumping
She says she’s tired of life
She must be tired of something…*
Sorry if I overquoted the lyrics. Mods, feel free to delete if I did so.
Another one I just thought of is “St. Theresa” by Joan Osborne. The way I interpret the lyrics, it’s about a crack whore, and therefore may not be a good fit for this thread.
How about It’s Me Again, Margaret by Ray Stevens?
It’s about a guy making obscene phone calls. The ending (after he gets arrested) is the funniest part.
It was mentioned in post #18.
Split Enz - Hermit McDermitt
“My irregular ways confrim it …/… one day we’ll all return and kill you in your beds.”
And Melissa Etheridge - I wanna come over.
*I know you’re alone
I watched the car leave
Your lover is gone
Let me in
Open your back door
I just need to touch
you once more*

Well, it’s not his fault–Daddy didn’t give affection. And the boy was something that mommy wouldn’t wear. But seriously–he doesn’t seem weird to me, just horribly neglected and badly treated.
