Which just reminded me of David Gilmour and “You Know I’m Right”, about fellow Pink Floyd member Roger Waters. Gilmour actually wrote and released it on a solo album a year before Waters left the group which lets you know how great things were going at the time.

Sweet Home Alabama
Play that dead band’s song
Turn those speakers up full blast
Play it all night long

Robbie Williams and PSB collaborated on the highlight of his Rudebox album, She’s Madonna. An excellent song and video.
Robbie takes the piss about fame, especially his own, all the time. That’s what keeps him brilliant IMO.
“Hey Mark, you’re spoiling all the paint work!”
^ heh - NSG - their best album.
One-hit wonders LFO namecheck both New Kids On the Block and New Edition in Summer Girls.
I just want to see Rollins’ hot bod.

“I Remember Clifford,” about Clifford Brown, by Benny Golson but recorded by hundreds of jazz musicians. Here’s Sarah Vaughan:
Like him or not, John Lenon sure inspired a lot of songs about him. I’m sure that would please him. Here’s a couple more :
Sympathetic to him:
Hurray For The Riff Raff - Ode To John And Yoko
NOT so sympathetic to him
The Damned - Would You Be So Hot If You Weren’t Dead
