And how about “Rocket Ride,” by Tom Smith?
You realize that he wrote pieces for all the other planets, too (well, except for Earth). They’re all good.
You could also add Enya’s “Shepherd Moons”. It’s an instrumental, but was inspired by the discovery of the moons which maintain the ring system.
And since a few They Might be Giants songs have been mentioned, there’s also “For Science”, and their version of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”.
Or “Never Set the Cat on Fire,” by Frank Hayes.

Star Trekkin by The Firm
*To Our Children’s Children’s Children *by The Moody Blues was a concept album based on space travel.
Beat me to it! One of my favorite songs; it never explicitly mentions space, I don’t think, but Brian May (who now has a PhD in astrophysics) has said that the song is about a group of space explorers who take a long trip at relativistic speeds…one year passes for them while 100 years passes back on Earth.

The definitive spacerock band is Hawkwind. Here’s a Youtube playlist of the Space Ritual album.
If you want stuff that deals with aliens and other fortean topics, I highly recommend Pressurehed’s album Explaining the Unexplained.
Oh, and if you want a song specifically about astronomers, there’s “Quark, Strangeness, and Charm”.

If sci-fi counts, there’s the “band” Ayreon. Each of their records are concept albums, all set in the same “sci-fi reality”.
There’s also the version by Voivod
