Songs on "Seinfeld"

I believe it actually goes “unce, tice fee times a mady”

Ha. I was hoping you’d come in and say this.

The gods have smiled.

Nice!

You, good sir (or ma’am), are correct.

And Dookie came out when I was in grammar school, so that’d be 1996 at the latest.

“Lemon tree, it is so pretty
But the fruit you cannot eat.
Lemon tree, lemon tree, lemon treeeee”

I can’t remember what ep. it’s from, but I distinctly recall Jerry & George sitting at the usual coffee-shop booth singing that.

I got to think of that odd rhodes-like instrumental when Kramer and Newman are slicing meat in Jerry’s apartment. I wanted to get ahold of it for a while, but I decided it was genius because of the context and I should let it be.

“Yankee bean, Yankee been…I love my Yankee bean…”

Was that the one were George had left a hostile message on his girlfriend’s answering machine and he and Jerry had a plan to get into her apartment and get it back? I think they were trying to come up with a code word to let the other one know when she was coming back into the room.(?)

Nitpick: They weren’t at the coffee shop, they were outside George’s girlfriend’s apartment building. They were trying to come up with a code word to signal her return, as WOOKINPANUB said.

It came out when I was a junior in high school, early 1994 if I’m not mistaken. It hit big with “Basket Case” that summer.

The Wreck of the Gordon Lightfoot, by Edmund Fitzgerald.

The Official Theme Song of “The Contest” is that “The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round” song. (Which was then suitably adapted by Kramer.)

“I’m out.”

Lionel Richie:

Hello, Is it me you’re looking for?

From the one where Jerry is doing the talking navel voice.

Everybody’s talking at me…
I can’t see their faces…
Just drivin’ around in Jon Voight’s car…

What song does Mel Torme sing to Kramer when he thinks he’s mentally retarded?

When you’re smiling

I love that one!

That whistley song when Jerry takes over Newman’s mail route, and Kramer and Newman’s funky sausage-making music.
