I have two iPods, one 5th gen 30 gb, and one 2nd gen 4 gb nano. Both are less than two weeks old, so there shouldn’t be any hardware issues. Both iPods have some of the same songs, but a few of them skip on the nano, but not the full sized player. Since the songs only skip on one player, it can’t be a problem with the file. I’ve tried resetting the nano, deleting the files and replacing them again, and updating the software. Nothing has fixed the problem. Any other suggestions?
No one has any ideas?
I’m not familiar with iTunes and Ipods - do they give you control over the bitrate at which the songs are encoded? - if so, could it be that the problem songs are too high a bitrate for one of the machines? (presumably because of a smaller or slower buffer, or something)
Hmm, perhaps. I haven’t really played around with iTunes, or changed any defaults so I’m not sure. Something to check out though.
